Bellamy: Jurys still out, but again a profit would be made should we sell him and he has added a new dimension to LFC attack
Kuyt: Jurys still out, he has 9 goals already in the league which aint bad for a first season, as well as being asked to drop deep, and work hard. A so called 20/20 player by Jol, he has shown that this may not be beyond him if he continues to settle. Many top managers stress how good he is such as Van Basten and Jol, so I wouldnt give up on him just yet.

Of course when Owen left Rafa attempted to sign Villa and Etoo, so he does recognise quality too, so I dont see the problem.
Yeah, that is a pretty fair assessment, but I am more disappointed in Crouch and Kuyt than you are.

Basically because they waste too many chances, but more so, because there are, to me, blatant holes in their repertoire as footballers. Imo, footballers at this level and in this price range should not have those faults.
    (Crouch - heading, finishing, strength/aggression . Kuyt - finishing, first touch, one-footedness).
If they were fantastic at other things I could look though the fingers at some faults, but imo, they are just good players, not great.

People will say its early to judge Kuyt, but imo the games so far has shown me some lacks I don't expect in an international player in the 10 mill bracket.

I guess I am a bit dubious as he hasn't signed someone up front that really impressed me footballwise. I also though Morientes would be a hit, and also thinks he got too much flak from fans. He wanted it so much, worked so hard, but just couldn't hack it cause he didn't have one of the two attributes he needed to be a success here in the PL - pace or strength.

Anyone who goes to a game or watches the TV with me will know what I think of our strikers this year, and it aint pleasant I can tell ya. But Crouch did the business in his first season by assisting players around him with goals. Hes never really had a chance o settle this year as Rafa obviously doesnt want him anymore, he always plays Kuyt and Bellamy over him now.

I also always give foreign players one full season before I make judgement and Kuyt falls into that category. Hes done enough to suggest he could be a hit.
      Forwards.......
