      Never heard of him.

Take it no one rates him then.

At least Bellamy wants to play for Liverpool - took a pay cut etc etc.

Michael Owen can screw himself as far as I'm concerned!

              [This isn't a reflection on Rage's post - I get the point. S'just that I don't like Owen.... ]

He was the kid that Germany kept bringing on at the world cup. Seemed to have a lot of pace, not a great deal of finnese but he did seem to make things happen. He only moved to Betis at the start of the season. No idea how he is doing there.

Don't tell me you fell for that injury smokescreen too.

Lessons from the last two summers:
You get what u pay for, buy cheap second rate s*** and end up
out of the title race before its started.

the likes of Pennant, Crouch, Gonzalez, Bellamy (good player, wrong club)
are not good enough. we desperately need two wide men who can go past a player and chip in with a few goals. The title winners from the last 10 years have had decent wide men. the likes of Pires, Giggs, Llungberg, Ronaldo, Cole, Duff etc etc can all score and create, we have not seen a decent winger since Barnes.....

But these player are few and far between, and as our Academy is failing miserable we need to spend between 15mil+ each on two wide men and a 25 goal a year forward. Then, and only then will we challenge...

Good post - cuts right to the heart of the matter.

You need gamebreakers - i.e. wingers and forwards who can create and score.

It's no use having a great defence but not being able to score the goals needed to win. You can also assemble a pretty good defence on a comparatively tight budget, but you really have to splash the cash when it comes to the forward players.

Yeah man - I've heard they want to get to know the fans, so this is where they should come....in which case, they've got to be able to understand us....

Now that Rafa has said that he is staying I´m sure he has the cash he thinks is enough for him to take nr. 19

I think we will see something this summer we have not seen since we signed King Kenny.

Hey - I wasn't having a pop. That's why I put the handshakes at the end Mwnci.

Gamebreaker, suppose it's the same as a matchwinner.
