ROTATING RAFA IS A 'DISGRACE'

LIVERPOOL legend Bruce Grobbelaar has labelled Kop boss Rafa Benitez's rotation policy a "disgrace".

The Zimbabwean keeper, who won six league titles and the European Cup in the 1980s, is angry that the Reds fielded weak sides in both domestic cup competitions.

He said: "The new board and the fans must remind him that the FA Cup is one of the biggest cups - that was a disgrace the way the team was changed around. (HE ****ING WON IT LAST YEAR!!!)

"With a rotation system you have to win all the time. You can't just go out there and lose, then play the next team and win and then rotate back to a losing side. That is what was happening at the start of the season."

I wish these old pro's would realise that the game has moved on light years from there heyday.
These days, with the amount of games played, distances players have to travel (esp for international games) increased quality of opponents, greater appreciation and understanding of the fact that the players are atheltes and need R and R to have a consistently high level of performance, there will never be a team who goes through the season only using 15 players and still comes out on top.
