      At least we're above Everton.

Well of course it was. He's a Liverpool midfielder, he's not allowed anywhere remotely near the box

Bit harsh on Pennant. Just watched the game on eseason highlights. Pennant was by far the best player on the pitch. On the basis of that performance I expect he'll start against Arsenal. He had a hand in all four goals and his finish was excellent. He also set up many other chances.

                      Beauty wasn't it, fantastic finish.

Also, judging by the highlights, Pennant ran riot. I would just like to see him perform similarly against Arsenal next week.

would like to see him bring some of that confidence, but you have to bear in mind too, the defending from Arsenal will be far superior
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
