    Liverpool offer for Real Madrid's Granero

    Liverpool have joined Fulham in their interest for Real Madrid youngster Esteban Granero.

    The midfielder has just over a year left on his current contract and talks over a new deal have stalled as he considers a move abroad.

    While any Spanish club would need to pay Granero's £8 million buyout clause to sign him, both Liverpool and Fulham can snap him up for just £200,000 due to Spanish federation transfer laws.

    AS says Granero is delighted with the contract offer tabled by Liverpool - which well above the annual £20,000 he is currently on at Real.
    Just believe and you never know what will happen.

    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      To fair he highlighted the source of that part of the article. It seems that English teams do effectively tap up young Spanish players (see Fabregas, Barragan, Pique) so the story seems quite credible to me.

        I wouldn`t be surprised if we`re intereted and he joins, but it`s a long way from showing interest to offer a contract.

              I remember he was linked with us at the same time as Barca's starlet Fran Merida (who I think Arsenal have snapped up). There is a video of him here http://www.airfutbol.com/videogranero.htm
