    David Nugent in todays Daily Mirror

    In the pullout section it showed a pic of him and some other lad when they were kids, BOTH with Liverpool scarves above their head. Was pretty funny.
    So much for Nugent claiming to be a lifelong Evertonian

    The pic was probably taken when Nugent was on LFC's books as a kid.

      He was in the Echo last week pictured in a Reds kit.

      To be honest, it doesn't matter who he supported as a kid. If Rafa felt he was good enough then thats fine by me. Lets face it, nearly all our home grown stars seemed to be Blues as a kid - Rush, Fowler, McManaman, Owen, Carra.

        If we hadn't have bought Voronin, I'd have taken Nugent as 4th striker. I like the look of him.

            Maybe so....but 5 strikers will be very hard to accomodate, and we need 2 more to replce Bellamy and Crouch. And we'll still have GArcia (and maybe even Kewell) to play off the front man.

                I thought that I saw a stat which showed his goals to games ratio was about 1 in 4 not exactly what we need is it.

                      then he has to step it up, and fast. he's not been good enough this season for me,he's had a few games, but he needs to get better or he has to be replaced...

                      i have nothing against him, i want him to start banging in goals, would love for him to shine for us, but he still needs to pick up his game...

                        his price has gone up i know a preston fan and they reckon his price tag is around £8-10million
