    Ribery?

A new round of speculation in the French press has again seen Arsenal linked with two of France's World Cup stars, Franck Ribery and Eric Abidal.

Both players have been strongly mentioned in conjunction with the North London side since the finals in Germany, and, with the summer transfer window appearing on the distant horizon, the links have now resurfaced.

Marseille winger Ribery is expected to leave Stade Velodrome if the French side fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and Arsenal could be at the front of the queue to capture the gifted star if the opportunity arises.

Ribery has also been linked with European giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid since his impressive showing at the World Cup, but France Football reports that the winger has a verbal agreement that could see him join his compatriot Arsene Wenger.

Gunners skipper Thierry Henry is also known to be a huge fan of the player who is currently recovering from a fractured foot, but Premiership rivals Liverpool and Manchester United are also believed to be interested.

Lyon left-back Abidal could also leave France in the summer as he has so far refused to sign a new three-year deal on offer from the Ligue 1 champions.

The Gunners and Real Madrid appear to be his two most likely suitors, although Milan and Barcelona are also in the hunt and could be prepared to pay his £10million buyout clause.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So if Arsenal buy these two they won´t be keeping Baptista and probably not spending much more - Abidal at 10m. + Ribery at 15m. give or take a couple of million. They are looking at 20m. at least aren´t they for these two?

Ribery would be a fantastic signing imo, not sure if he could handle the physical game though.

I dont care how ugly the bloke is...he can seriously play some quality football.

I would not hesitate forking over £15m for this lad. He is dynamic, pacy, determined, passionate....everything you would want from a Liverpool player.

                  go get him Rafa.

Cisse plus £10m would be a good deal.

I think that would be fair, obviously im not basing this on what we paid for Cisse, but his ability.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

that would be fair. Although i would think it would be more around the 7/8 mark.

Ribery hasn´t hit the heights of the world cup in recent weeks and month according to what I´ve read. Nasri has supposedly been their main player this season. I´d still take him though, it can´t be easy having to supply Cisse around 20 chances for him to convert one.
