Nothing wrong with making sure it hits the back of the net. for all he knew there could have been a defender on his shoulder ready to clear it. everyone would be calling him a **** if he just watched as it got cleared at the last minute. But more importantly, who gives a toss!?

The ball was already on the line when he kicked it, and he knew full well there were no defenders remotely near enough to clear it off the line. I would've been ****ing pissed off about it if I was Defoe.
