I did exactly what Nugent did once!

It was an under 16s game and my mate went on a great run, had a shot that was deflected, it looped up over the keeper and I followed it in. All I remember was that there was a defender quite near me and for all I know if I'd left it he could have cleared it (I was later told that there was no way he would have).

Anyway I just nodded it over the line. Funniest thing was my mate ran off celebrating but everyone just ignored him and ran to me! I remember it because it was the winner and it was on the same day as the Michael Owen Cup Final against Arsenal. Good day all round!

Yeah I know what you mean, but there's no such thing as a **** goal, especially in the eyes of a striker. He's a young striker who scored on his England debut - which is bound to create headlines. The record books won't say what a **** goal it was.

I wouldn't vilify him, but it's bad form and you can be guaranteed he'll be getting flack for it in the dressing room. Not punch ups, probably just light-hearted banter.
