Found this on Liverpool.no, who found it in AS:

    Short translation:
We`re interested in Deportivo striker Arizimendi.
Atletico has first right for him, for 3M Euro, but might not want him.

So do how good is he? If Atletico doesn`t want to pay 3M euros for him he can`t red hot, even if they are short on cash.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

His scoring record isn`t impressive, but come on as a sub for Spain vs England.
This is probably paper talk, but thought I would share it.

I wish I started this thread.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Deportivo plucked him out of the Atletico Madrid reserve team and he's been decent for them, but he's never good enough for us. I very much doubt this is true.

              Oh yeah?

The BBC are reporting (well they nicked it from that rag so it's of no interest to any of us obviously) that we are "targeting Scunthorpe striker Billy Sharp in a £2m swoop".

He is only on loan from Atletico Madrid and they have already decided to take him back next season.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                  Benitez after Spanish Angel

Media reports claim that Rafa Benitez is after another Spanish player - Deportivo La Coruna's Angel Arizmendi.

The Sports daily AS revealed that Liverpool sent a scout to watch the player.

The 23-year-old is said to have impressed the Mersyersider's representative.

Depor are facing a financial crisis and could sell the former Atletico Madrid striker.

Speculation suggests that the Spanish Under/20 star could leave the Riazor for about £2,5Million.

The Reds enjoy a good relationship with the Galician club after they bought Alvaro Arbeloa last summer.

"All I want to do is play," Arizmendi is quoted in the 'paper. "The clubs have to decide something in the next few weeks."

                  its now on sky sports.

why are we after him he has 5 in 25 not exactly prolific.

                    Isnt he a attacking midifielder?

He was capped against England this year

For 3 million Euros - not the worse signing
