    My Predictions:

Thanks to a great friend of mine, I have a copy of my predictions dated July 16th as my signature on KT. They were:

    Predictions for 2006-2007 season:
1-LFC will end up above Manure and Gooners.
2-Robbie will shine scoring 20+ Prem goals.
3-LFC will win one major trophy, possibly Two.
4-Jose to be in awe of Rafa's C.L. exploits.
    ************* July 16, 2006 *************

Prediction 3 is semi correct already but look at number 4. With all the spending Jose is in awe already and it was only the Community Shield .

    I like your optimism
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

TBH I think Robbie scoring 20+ goals is over reaching reality as he may not get that many starts. But I'll stick with it.

glad with your optimism but the charity shield is hardly a major trophy...

Maybe I'm wearing Red-tinted glasses, but am I imagining it or were we far superior to them today all over the pitch?

-I didn't notice the fat lad was playing until he kicked Bolo.

-Their midfield looked lost without Makelele.

-And I have no idea what formation they were playing for most of the game. I think Shevchenko was outside right, and Robben was on the wide left? Or something?

-Maureen has infinite money to spend and THIS is the team he assembles?!?

Don't get me wrong, they'll intimidate most teams this year, and their long balls/set pieces/10 behind the ball/Bolton tactics will be hard to beat, but our lads certainly aren't scared of them anymore, if they ever were.

nail on the head there mate i think todays game will give some lesser clubs the confidence to actually have a go at chelsea too, rather than just rolling over for them

Remember the good old Rafism :

"You can have the best players but not necessarily the best team"

Today, if you compare the starting elevens, there were not that many of our team who would get into their team. 3 or 4? Yet our team out-played them. A sign that Rafa has mastered "Mourinho the pretender" in my opinion.

Good luck with those predictions, I hope they all come off for you.

I know today's game was meaningless but I do think beating them when they had close to their best team out, while we used an experimental line-up will prove to be a major confidence boost and set us up well for the season.

If Robbie gets double figures in the league I'll be happy.

We definitely need to bring in another striker before the window closes though. With that we would definitely pull away from Man Ure and Arse in terms of quality.

I'd settle for Kuyt or Trezeguet.
