Quick question for the Crouch doubters...

I see your point, and that is something that has surprised me about Dirk. I thought he was bought as an out-and-out striker and a penalty box player rather than playing more withdrawn. I wonder if this is how he plays, or if it is instructions he has had from Rafa etc.

Crouch is better when he plays alone upfront with Gerrard behind him IMO. It gives him more space to work with because Gerrard opens up a lot of space.

If Rafa will play 4-5-1 a lot next season then Crouch is a good option.

We really don't know how good he would be if he played with a quick and clever striker upfront. Bellamy isn't that clever on the pitch.

I didn't want RVN last year - I said that would have been value for money. RVN would have been a great buy for what was paid for him compared to what we got. And if you haven't watched him this year you need to.

I disagree,sometimes he`s so far ahead of our midfield(Thinking wise) he`s offside before anyone can pass to him.I`m happy with Crouch,Bellers and Kuyt for now.Our biggest problem this season is supply,something Pennant and Gonzo are slowly improving on.............

i think if he was a normal height, people would appreciate him alot more.

people mainly give him stick because for a tall guy, he's not the target man people expect.
