    Formation

    I really liked that formation we played yesterday.

    We were dangerous through the middle, we had players attacking out wide, and players were getting into the box. Masher and Alonso through the middle were superb, Gerrard was able to get forward and link up with Crouch, Pennant was good again.....he's looking quite settled now. He deserves a decent run of games. Gonzo didnt have the best game...but he posed a threat on the left, and was always an outlet for the CM's.

    We did all this AND managed to finish off our chances Its about bloody time.

    Are we going to see that formation more often?

    Possibly...problem in the past has been that the lone striker hasn't been up to the job and has ended up isolated, obviously yesterday was a welcome change to that

        Thought Gerrard was poor tbh. Maybe tired?
        That formation with Tevez in Stevie's role would be good.

          Do you know Howard - that very thought crossed my mind yesterday eveing. Where would Stevie play though? Masher was superb.
