Talk of an Owen return isn't as ludicrous as many would like to think, IMO.

I'm not particularly fussed but I'd take him back if the chance arose. I think it's a bit of an open secret that Carra & Stevie would move heaven and earth to have him back at the club, and I also think that speaks volumes.

      I'd take him.

However, I'm not sure that hapless goon Roeder and Newcastle will be particularly enamoured with the idea of rehabilitating him through this lengthy injury absence, only for him to swan straight off to Liverpool.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

IMHO this will never happen, I dont think Rafa wants him. Also his injury record is looking worse and worse now, If he loses his pace any more due to injuries what else will he have?

He needs to get into the positions, his goals for us were always running on at pace onto through balls and beating the keeper. His legs will go and his goals will dry up.

Owen isn't coming back, there is no reason at all for the link to suddenly appear, move on people

I disagree, he can still score goals aplenty even when the pace has all but gone.
Think Alan Shearer in his 30+ years as a player or Van Nistelrooy who never had pace but it didn't prevent him from banging the goals in left, right and centre.

Very different sorts of players but i guess time will tell. Owen does not have the physical presence or the off the ball intelligence of Shearer or horseface, I actually think he was found out a long time ago and teams play deeper against him and stop the danger. He can be clinical which is what we need but i would rather someone without the injury risk.
