    Le Tallec to exit next?

    From Sky:

Sochaux coach Alain Perrin has renewed optimism that he may be able to snare Anthony Le Tallec from Liverpool.

Perrin announced last week that the deal had fallen through due to complications, but he now believes that Reds boss Rafa Benitez will allow him to head out to Stade Bonal.

Benitez is looking to loan the French starlet out for the duration of the season, but first wants assurances that Le Tallec would play regularly.

Sochaux are struggling badly for attacking options, and Perrin has insisted that Le Tallec would be given a key role.

"Today I have just one experienced forward, Alvaro Santos," Perrin explained. "The others are all under 20.

    "We must reinforce our attack.

"I will just have to show Benitez the list of my players to prove that Le Tallec would play regularly."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Why a loan though? It seems as if Rafa wants him to play/stay match fit and perhaps return? Am I reading too much into this?

Agree with you both...but why does Rafa want guarantees that Tony will play?

Probably so he can be in the French shop window, in the vain hope that he puts in a performance or two that means we get some money for the idiot.

He was *allegedly* banged up in newcastle recently for a racial assault. What a waste of money, time and effort.

Or maybe he thinks that he still might manage to be good for us? I just want rid of him to be honest even if it was only 1 million.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a friend who originates from France, both him and his father were astounded we got these two and believed they were the future of french footballl.

Think the hype got to Tony le T and they were both mismanaged by GH. Would be very surprised if either of them went onto great things now.

Hyping the player up and creating unnecessary pressure for the incoming player was a big mistake in my opinion:

                        Cheyrou - New Zidane
                        Cisse - New Henry
                        Diao - New Vieira

Oh no. I remember that quote now, but I'd forgotten all about it. How fcuking embarrassing.

And to think I let myself get over-excited too. I remember Tony Le T in that pre-season friendly at Crewe - his passing was absolutely outstanding. Some serious vision, and nearly every pass immaculately executed. Only a friendly I know, but I thought he was gonna be a superstar.

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Granted Tony Le T is a pain in the arse, if the lad could sort his head out he can still be a good player. I remember the performance he put in against Juventus, the lad was excellent.

Flo Po : Still has a future with us as far as I'm concerned.
