ALT still could be a good player, but his attitude is all wrong. I don't really care whether we get much money for him, but players like him need to be got rid of.

The remains of GH's squad are few and far between

Think the hype got to Tony le T and they were both mismanaged by GH. Would be very surprised if either of them went onto great things now.
I dont know about that - when we signed them I remember asking a few French people at uni about them - none of whom had ever heard of these two, but then again, none of the had heard of Houllier either. They knew Wenger though

        Never heard of Houllier??

They must have little interest in football then. That may explain it. I find it hard to believe a French football fan not knowing anything about Houllier...

Yes but there is some truth in that statement. If we'd have waited 1 more year Houllier would have paid 15 million each for them.

love flo po still, he's got skills has one of the best first touch in football today, he's got pace he's fairly intelligent, but for a striker he just doesn't score much, he just hasn't got that killer instinct vital for a goal scorer, ohh and how mellors eye for goal is wasted in his body...

Tony T. is an attacking midfielder that we don't need, with our squad now he'd be lucky if he got a game for the ressies...

I should clarify - the name Houllier was familiar to them, but they didn't know who he was.

                  They knew about Wenger though.

but his first touch is insain to be honest, his second might not be on par with that but next time you see him play and i know you have seen him loads of times, just try to focus on that, the way he is able to place the ball perfectly for his continued run or a turnaroud that confuses his oponent, it's his most priced assest

Get rid now. All attitude and no end product on the pitch. Au revoir.

Flo Po : Still has a future with us as far as I'm concerned.

I tend to agree with you.
Le Tallec has an attitude problem...I think we all agree with this, but his talent is fairly obvious to most too surely?

I think Rafa is hoping that he will grow up and play football this year. Whether it is just to put himself in the window or whether he has a slim chance of coming back is anyone's guess.

If he could not get a game for Sunderland last season (the worst team I have seen in the premiership) it really does not look good for him. Does anybody agree that his attitude may be a result of Houlliers bull about him being a "gem" and "saving the club millions" going to his head?

And to think I let myself get over-excited too. I remember Tony Le T in that pre-season friendly at Crewe - his passing was absolutely outstanding. Some serious vision, and nearly every pass immaculately executed. Only a friendly I know, but I thought he was gonna be a superstar.

I remember that game and you're right.

I think that the key lesson here for any club is that if you're gonna splash out a few millions on a kid you have to know what role they're gonna play and you have to play them in real matches.

Momo - who we're all raving about - is about the same age but Rafa bought him and then played him in his favoured position. If you're going to invest in young stars you have to do that.

I hate to say it but Wenger does it consistently. He plays a new kid or two every season, some make it some don't.

But it's definitely a waste if you let them languish and sulk in the reserves.

I think that both Le tallec and Pongolle still have the potential to be excellent players.
