    Humberto "Chupete" Suazo

    has anyone seen him before?

    He plays for Colo Colo in Chile, and looking at his record he bangs the goals in. Scored 40 in a season a couple of years ago.

    Voted top goalscorer by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, and was awarded the silver ball as second best top division scorer with 34 goals....behind Huntelaar. (35)

    Now i know the Chilian league isn't the best standard. But he can clearly put away goals, from what ive seen of him he is a poacher of the highest caliber....strong too. Reminds me of Salas.

    Personally i wouldn't mind us going for one of these types of players (relitively unknown in Europe)....he wouldnt cost much, and the reward could be massive. If he fails, ship him back off to Sth America.

    I thought we already had the best player in Chile on our books, and look where that has got us this year.

    However, I've never seen Humberto play, so can't comment further than that, only that more work permit problems could loom and new UEFA regs coming in?

        seriously though, he reminds me of a cross between Salas, Crespo and Ronaldo.

        The Ronaldo likeness is purely on the the fact he is a similar body shape, is bald, and runs the same way as Ronnie. He also shoots in a similar way, likes to prod them in off the toe while running full tilt. He DOES NOT have the dribbling skills like Ronnie.

        Warning: he is not a "flashy" player, just a pure goal scorer. He gets a chance, and finishes it most of the time.

              What about that Suazo fella that plays in Italy?

              He's feckin class, very strong, quick and has scored some spectacular goals.

                yeah he is a great little player. I remember watching him during the 2000 Olympics. He tore Italy apart.

                    i try to download copa libertadores highlights show every week. have seen a glimpse of him every now and then, looks a solid player.

                            Rodrigo Palacio seems a good striker coming into age like, barca put a nif in for him. Suppose they would want mega bucks.
