    Anyone set for Athens?

Really don't want to jinx us, especially as i'm as pessimistic as they come but have any of you already flights booked for Anthens on the 23rd(or similar to that date?) Or even know any mates that have?
I doubt i'll be getting over although i might try and get over to Liverpool if we make the final, atmosphere would be mighty
You're a long time dead folks.

Someone on here? We need another clue - that one hardly narrows it down at all.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        Oi!

I scouted mine this morning... £300.

Can't get a hotel quote yet though

I've been thinking about booking a flight. What's the worst that could happen? Lose fifty quid (or whatever the flight costs)? If another English club got there you could maybe flog the ticket on eBay (pay the admin fee to transfer the name).

I'd rather take a chance and book it now (or soon) than wait and have to face the mad rush and heavily raised prices

£300 for a flight to Athens?

I haven't looked yet - I'm quite sure you can get a flight to Athens for between £50-80?

Those ****ers know what they're doing. I haven't exhausted all avenues yet though.

That is a ****ing joke. I knew they always hiked the prices to ludicrous extents, but I thought they usually had the good grace to at least wait to see if an English club qualifies.

I've had a look at flights...shouldn't be that many people flying from Vienna, I would imagine. Looking like less than €200, which is ok

Flying to one of the nearby islands might be an idea, and boating it to Athens.

Unless of course they increase the prices of those flights, too.

i was looking at flights last night for about EURO 269 return, with one stop off each way, total time travelling to Athens about 10 hours each way from Dublin.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

its not just easyjet upping the prices, it also works on demand and supply.

if demand for the tickets goes up, prices go up

Started looking at deals this morning. For Istanbul it was as cheap to do a week out there as it was to do the 24hour turn round flight- that turned into nearly 48 hour turn round anyway. Have just provisionally booked the week off work, just in case. Getting very very nervous.
