Istanbul was a ****ing nightmare and I couldn't face going all the way to Athens then losing to those Manc *******s if we play them. I'll probably stay at home and lock myself away for the whole day, not even watching the match. I'll then cautiously find out the score before either celebrating like a mad man driving through Manchester with 'YNWA' blasting out OR pack my bags and go and hideaway in Wales or in some other third world country...

There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

It has to be said the quality of strippers in Limassol is of a very high standard.

yeah its a strange one alright, if we meet them in the final, id be more nervous about us being beaten by the mancs than anything else.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Aye. Me neither - why I used the word 'pray' rather than 'hope'

I'm genuinely nervous about the Roma - United game. I have a bad feeling though....United to win by a couple of goals

I think they would be knocked out by Bayern or Milan if they get past Roma though, United have nearly always fallen to the first decent team they meet in a champions league tourney, especially one that can defend.

I'll book my flight if and when we make it. I'll get a ticket and flight package off the club like I did when we went to Istanbul in 2005.

I'd go on the day. That' what we did in 2005 so I'd do the same again if I could.

You need to have been to all home games then 5 then 4 and so on... until all tickets are gone. It cost me about £550 for the flight and match ticket. I had to buy the cheapest ticket aswell which was behind the goal but it was still a decent view. It was well worth the cash though.
