    Tevez and Owen.

    TEVEZ ON BENITEZ'S WISH LIST
    EXCLUSIVE
    By Darren Lewis 06/04/2007

LIVERPOOL are interested in reuniting Carlos Tevez with his Argentina team-mate Javier Mascherano in a stunning summer swoop.

The pint-sized West Ham striker has exploded into form over the past couple of weeks with goals against Tottenham, Blackburn and Middlesbrough.

He has also captured the imagination of Upton Park fans with his refusal to give up on the club's fight against relegation from the Premiership.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez currently has Barcelona star Samuel Eto'o at the top of his shortlist with Charlton marksman Darren Bent also high up.

But he has apparently been impressed with the hunger and work-rate of Tevez and is now weighing up a move for the Hammers hitman.

Newcastle boss scoffs at Liverpool link for Owen
    tribalfooball.com - April 05, 2007

Newcastle United won't consider selling Michael Owen back to Liverpool at the end of the season.

The Evening Chronicle says Roeder scoffed at a report over the weekend that Liverpool, with a £40m close-season treasure chest, would try to lure Owen back to Anfield in the summer.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I suppose its easy enough to link Tevez with us now we have Masch. Not exactly an out and out goalscorer though is he

I don't think it's as easy as buying an out an out scorer. Buying someone like Tevez might well mean that Crouch and Kuyt can get 20 goals a season, We have people that can score goals but the mixture isn't right at the moment.

So Darren Lewis says Tevez is high on the list,

David Maddock says its Darren Bent, and

The other reporter whos name escapes me says its Samuel Eto'o.

At least Lewis had enough Savvy to lik all 3 in the report. The only one with any credentials though is David Maddock, but even he's out of the loop with Rafa. Not even the players know who will sign for us.
        Forwards.......

Aye true, and I'm not for a sec saying I dont think he's quality. He certainly is. To be honest I'd love us to sign him - if only to piss off the Mancs and Chelski

I think the suggestion that Roeder is 'scoffing' at reports linking players away from Newcastle, is most amusing. A clueless manager, who is now even starting to take pops at other clubs/ managers to disguise his inadequacies.

Not for one moment do I believe Rafa would want to bring Owen back to Liverpool, but if he did, Gascoigne's ex-minder wouldn't stand a cat in hells chance of preventing it. He needs to worry more about his current team not a player that hasn't played all season.

I think the journo in this article browses these forums too often. I can see a pattern when each time AF11 posts some stuffs, it's in a matter of days in the public domain.

last season when West Ham got tevez and masch I was truly fricking amazed....i mean 2 of the best up and coming talents in world football signing for west ham... i couldnt believe it and thought west ham had got a fantastic deal!! Nothing that has happened this year has changed my opinion on the 2 players and I would be ecstatic if tevez joined us.
                    Lets get it on!!!

AFII decides to test the theory...

We will sign Klobalalumpababumpado in the summer from an unknown African club.

AFII now waits to to see when the story will appear on Tribalfootball or newsnow.

Where would Tevez play if we did sign him, given he's not the prolific goalscorer we all crave? Not sure I know.

That's too obvious. If he googles a bit he'll know that this player doesn't exist. Try the Zidane rumour.

He was extremely prolific at Corinthians: 25 goals in 38 games and his international record is not too shabby. At West Ham he was played out of position in struggling team; however, since being moved to his more favoured position he is single-handedly trying to keep West Ham up and has scored three in three.

I'm not too sure of the link but he would be an excellent signing. A special player who can make something out of nothing; we only have Garcia in the squad with that capability. Further he has demonstrated that he can handle the rough and tumble of the Premiership and shown he has an excellent mentality.
