Reading aren't a bad side. In fact I think their football is very progressive.

Reading have enjoyed plenty of possession as they hunt for a way back into their match but Liverpool are defending stoutly on the edge of their own area and the pace of Alvaro Arbeloa and Craig Bellamy - to name but two - means Rafa Benitez's side always look dangerous on the break.

      Another MASSIVE game

Steve Coppell is confusingly pleasant and self-effacing for an ex-Scum player, he almost seems like one of ours.

Great goal by Berger for Villa. A gentle touch on the ball and it went in. Brilliant stuff. Happy for him!

Am i the only Liverpool fan out there concerned about the form of Momo Sissoko?
The lad has been really poor in recent weeks and looks a little lost and short of confidence, maybe the arrival of Masherano has put some extra pressure on him which he's finding hard to take?
He's still a young lad but i'm a bit worried i must say.

Just read that he was born in Liverpool too. Thank god, I was beginning to worry for a bit there.

Reading boss Steve Coppell has spoken of his excitement about today's meeting between his current side and the club he spent watching as a child growing up on Merseyside.
Despite making his name as a player with Manchester United, Coppell was a regular at Anfield in his early years and even with Liverpool hitting top form in recent weeks, the Reading boss can't wait to see the current FA Cup holders running out at the Madejski Stadium at 3pm today.

"I look on this as a really exciting celebration," claims Coppell, whose side sits just four points outside a UEFA Cup placing In the Premiership. "Especially for me, having watched Liverpool as a boy - that club with a magnificent tradition.

"For us to welcome Liverpool to our stadium is a fabulous occasion. It's one we should not be intimidated by, no matter what happens, and I am really looking forward to it.

"They're hitting a rich vein of form at the right time, and the performance in midweek was outstanding. First and foremost they're effective, but also attractive as well.

"It will be a different team this weekend, but they've still got such depth. The prospect of many more millions in the summer means they look to be a club with a rich future - both immediate and long term.

If they play well they'll beat us, so we've got to stop them from doing that. We've got to play well and have a plan."

What did that banner say? "Italian bitters are Scousers"?

Edit: I see now. Italian bizzies.
