Thanks. I will have a look, even if the names look familiar from my session last night.

What did you see? What did you eat? What did you drink?

        Details please.

        And yes, I am envious.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

          I saw:

Tarquinia, Etruscan ruins and temples, Rome, The Pope having mass, The Colosseum (boring..), then Montefalco, Perugia, Bevagna, Lago Trasimeno, Asissi, Spello etc. Saw the medieval community hall in Perugia - awesome stuff. I can upload some pics later.

Did some hiking too, which was great - from one winery to another...thought olive tree hills.
Drove around the countryside, did wine tasting, olive oil tasting.

          Eat/drink?

Lots. Prosciutto, Peccorino, lots of great pasta with season veggies, some very nice lamb...all with local wines, which was usually montefalco rosso or sagrantino, which is what they make there in the region.
Also had lots of local cakes, with almonds and fennel, which they dipped in a strong wine of similar taste to Madeira. very tasty.

They also used fennel to season pork meat, which I found to be a very exciting and good combination.

And Italian Ice cream of course.

You shouldn't have told him that, now that's given Neil an excuse to tell his war stories set in Italy

Sounds fantastic. I'm going to eat some prosciutto e bufala now.

Did I tell you about the time I met General Mark Clark? He seemed a nice chap but I could tell he was an egotistical glory-hunter.
