Yeah, I agree with that, he has to improve, we have some really big games coming up and a fully focued Momo would come in handy. If he continues iwith the kind of passing range and first touch he has shown of late, he will be shipped off sooner rather than later, although I do think he will survive the summer atleast.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Sissoko will never be worth 25M. He's got a great engine but when it comes to actual footballing talent, there isn't enough there to push his value up that much. There is a limit to what coaching can do.
Sissoko *should* in all reality, drop down the pecking order to "squad player" status. In Alonso, Gerrard and Maschareno we have three far more talented individuals who deserve to be in the side ahead of him at CM. Squad players can of course be very valuable (see: Garcia), however I'm of the opinion that Sissoko can probably be replaced without *too* much trouble.

Sissoko was awesome early season. He's simply in a dip of form.
His passing may never reach the Mascherano/Alonso master class - but his mobility and destructive play is almost peerless even now at such a young age. He should be given every opportunity to regain that early season form (when his distribution was far better than currently.)
Rafa has stated several times he wants 4 central midfielders - he had that at the start of the season, then the opportunity to bring Mascherano appeared in January. That doesn't mean the end of Sissoko's LFC career, it means Zenden will get less of a look in/released.
I think we'll see plenty of rotation between Alonso, Sissoko, Mascherano and Gerrard next year in the central two positions. It's also inevitable that injuries and suspensions will also mean playing time for all 4.
It would be foolish to sell Sissoko.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

If he becomes as good on the ball as Vieira he will be IMHO 25m+

I agree. I think he will definitely get another season.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostSissoko was awesome early season. He's simply in a dip of form.

As I said before, my first choice would probably be to keep him as I think he's a decent option to have in the squad. However, I think you're deluding yourself if you think he'll a) ever be as good as Viera and b) be worth anything even close to 25M.
If we were to get an offer that would make the difference in securing someone of say, Eto'o's class, I'd gladly make that sacrifice.

just one small point on that, if Rafa wants two players in each position, is he choosing Gerrard as a central midfield player ala Mascherano or Alonso or as an attacking midfield player, which could mean, if he is classed as an advanced player that there is one more midfielder to come in?.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostSissoko was awesome early season. I think with the 4-2-3-1 formation we could well see another midfielder come in. Kallstrom? Someone to fight Momo for his place.Originally posted by bazza76 View Postjust one small point on that, if Rafa wants two players in each position, is he choosing Gerrard as a central midfield player ala Mascherano or Alonso or as an attacking midfield player, which could mean, if he is classed as an advanced player that there is one more midfielder to come in?.

Then me and Rafa will just have to disagree with you.Originally posted by keniget View PostAs I said before, my first choice would probably be to keep him as I think he's a decent option to have in the squad.
