You all fail to recognise also that Javier is only here till the end of next season, then allegedly costs us a fortune, there is no guarantee we will sign him permanantly so selling Momo would be daft this summer maybe next if we secure Mascherano long term.

People say that Momo is young and will get better with age.....and i have no doubts he will. That same logic can be applied to Mascherano, he is also very young, and a far far better distributor and holding mid than Momo will ever be....and he will also get better.

Its a mouthwatering thought we have 2 of the best midfield destroyers in our ranks.....good times ahead.

      Now, wheres Red Chilli??
They dont play in the same position.

I was of the understanding that the club could buy him if both MAscherano and the club are hapy with how things were going for a fixed fee, which i think £10milion was mentioned. I doubt the club would be as naive to go into a deal without first refusal or a deal to sign him permanently after his loan deal.
Not sure why we didnt sign him permanently from the start, could be something to do with registration and Liverpool wanting to be sure he is suited to English football.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
