Don't know if you guys had this show across the pond. . . in the Mid-Seventies there was a movie called Logan's Run. Set in a futuristic earth where people were zapped with a laser once they reached the age of 35 (I think) because they had lost their usefulness to society. Bit of a cult classic here in the States, but anyway - guess God is inching closer to "laser treatment age". *depressed smilie as he considers what this means as TartanTerror is older than God*
