          As already said Hunter and Ballague said Alves was the best player in Spain this year. It was Revista de la Liga. I dont watch often enough to comment, but they wouldnt make it up and seem to know their stuff.

          Therefore I will take their opinion over anyone on this site. We do have a top RB but Alves can also play RW. Dont know where Rafa intended him to play, or if he'd be still interested. Time will tell. But Dani Alves has shown he was willing to come to us, so I guess that proves there is a chance of this going through.

          First option only means that there is no chance of a cloak and dagger transfer. Some clubs bid a certain amount on the command that if they do the transfer is kept quiet. This obviously cant happen. Chelsea have first option on all players at PSV, but that doesnt mean we couldnt sign Kone (for example) if he wanted to come to us, even if Chelsea wanted him.

            Just believe and you never know what will happen.

            According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                  AFII seems to revel in all the abuse he gets. As he said he was spot on with the Agger rumour, and that was way before anyone else on the net mentioned it. Agger was a pretty unknown name back then to, so the signing wasn't one you could make up on the off chance.

                  They only do it to wind him up, and he nearly always takes the hook.

                      This is true. We should console ourselves that we have a manager who was after this guy long before anybodyelse was even aware of him. Now the whole world and his dog are after him his price has rocketed.. I think we should move on to someone else. I don't think Finnan is exactly the Carlos Alberto some on this forum would have you believe!!
