It says a lot though, that 2 years ago, you could maybe make a case for Cisse to be in our team.

Now, he wont get anywhere near it, and rightly so.

Rafa's strengthened it well in 2 years.

Cisse's brilliant...I'm glad he's coming back....best striker in the club, if not the Premiership.

for that reason alone we should have him back, that and he would score more goals than bellend, veronin and Kuyt.

Don't get me wrong technically he falls along way short, however, I like him and would enjoy seeing him in a liverpool jersy again.

Shaggy is right though, now we have cash we can do better than all the strikers I mentioned.

Eto'o only has 3 years left on his contract. He is 26. With 1 or 2 years left, he'll be able to buy it out (aged 27 or 28). For Barca to make any money they really need to sell him this summer. He won't cost more than £30m.

So that would be £40m net outlay. Hardly "immense" spending given our influx of cash.

Not a huge fan of Ribery either, plus Quaresma is unproven at the highest level and couldn't cut it at Barca...signing those three would by no means have me pissing my pants
