Why the fees? Or why sell them? The fees are reasonable given what we paid, their form and relative alleged interest from other clubs. Why sell them - they're simply not good enough for LFC.

plus i don't think i can remember a MLS club ever paying any big bucks to buy a player, so can't see us getting the 8 million that was once quoted

RED BULL HAS TASTE FOR CISSE
                13/04/2007

LIVERPOOL'S unwanted striker Djibril Cisse is a target for New York Red Bull.

The French striker's move to Marseille is on the rocks after his loan spell turned into a disaster.

But the MLS team want to recruit Cisse before the US 'window' shuts at midnight today.

Red Bull have the cash to land the 25-year-old in a loan deal though a full-time switch is unlikely.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I doubt we'll let him go on another loan. How long is left on his contract?

                        tribalfooball.com - April 17, 2007

Liverpool expect Olympique Marseille to pass on signing Djibril Cisse for £8 million at the end of this season.

Marseille are increasingly unlikely to make the striker's move back to France permanent as he's endured an unhappy spell back home.

Cisse's run of four goals in 14 games hasn't endeared himself to the supporters, and after their initial enthusiasm to sign the forward, Marseille now say they won't make a decision until the end of the season, says the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool are viewing this as a negative sign.

Maybe we will have other clubs interested in him," said Rafa Benitez last night.

Slap a 3 million quid price tag on him and watch the likes of Fulham and Sunderland come in for him. That would be his level.
