    New Song

This ones did the rounds in the Albert last night apparently:

    Ooooohhhh Campione
    The one and only
    Were Liverpool

Back upon our perch and you'll never knock us off...
Drawing all our strength from the mighty spion Kop...

    To this tune

'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
    It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
    Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

      Love that!

Thought it was only a greek sing song but heard the PSV fans singing something to the same tune last night.

Thought the La Bamba Benitez was fantastic last night,
even The Upper Centenary were joining in lol
and this type of tune could have the same impact.

Bout time we had something new to sing.

Not to sure about the words though but i'm no John Lennon

          Oooh PAOKara - oooh Campione
Eho trela, - the one and only
mes to myalo - we're Liverpool

Opou ke na pezis panta tha s' akoloutho - Back upon our perch and you'll never knock us off
yia sena tha pethano ke yia sena mono zo - Drawing all our strength from the mighty spion Kop

A very good effort, especially the second part and it is a great tune but I'm not completely convinced about the first part, especially "ooh campione, the one and only". I dont think that fits the tune particularly well, it's not particularly inspiring, and frankly sounds like the lyrics have been borrowed from the Du the Dudek song.

BTW, the way, the original PAOK lyrics are far more inspiring IMO

whatever lyrics they use, it ould be great to hear that on the kop for a similar time frame that the PAOK fans sing it.
Totaly respect to the fans, I dont know what they are singing or singing about, but there is some passion coming from that gathering.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

They're the most passionate fans in Greece and some of the most passionate fans you'll find anywhere in the World, and that's some boast if you've seen Panathinaikos fans sing Horto Magiko.

They're saying, "ooh PAOKara, I have madness, in my head. Wherever you may play I will always follow, for you I will die and I only live for you."

I liked the Sissoko one that went round last night.

                          'He's magic, you knooooowwww,
                          You'll never get past Sissokoooooo'

I've been to every home game this season and hadn't heard it before.
