Don't go mate - your dissertation is too important to **** up for a Youth Team game. If it was a league game against Watford fair enough, but not for a Youth Team game.

I was gonna go but I've changed my mind. Can't quite be arsed, although I'll definitely attend the 2nd leg.

True. I lied a bit though, I'm not 'nowhere near' finishing. Getting there slowly...

So who are the two or three players that stand a chance of being half decent footballers then ?

I'm taking a wild guess here, but Spearing sounds like he has half a chance.

Reaching the Youth Cup final twice in two years suggests there's something there to work with.

If just one of the lads on display tonight went on to play more than 50 games for Liverpool I would be delighted.

I was at the semi against Newcastle and to be honest none of them really stand out as looking like they could make it in the first team.

Lindfield is a goal-poacher. He doesn't get involved much in open play but when the ball is loose in the box 9 times out of 10 he's there. He scored twice from a combined range of about 3 centimetres.

Jay Spearing is good but too small for a top class centre back. Ryan Flynn looks a good player too. I thought that Ajdarevic was crap.

Of course it helped that the Newcastle back four were a bunch of Titus Brambles.

Charlie Barnett had some good games during last years youth cup, and he has impressed this year as well. Still has one more year at youth level. Central midfielder, which is probably the area in the first team where it is easiest to break through... :whatever:

                    Rafa will sell him.
