Lindfield looks a little lightweight to me but he's got good movement and a bita pace about him.
Putterhil looks a super talent, looks a bit on the beefy side but i'm sure he'll lose that pubby fat in the next year or two.
Heighway said he used to play as a Striker, only this last 6 months he's played wide left which is very impressive, obviously a talented lad wherever he's played.

And thinking back, those with the talent had made it to the 1st team, or on the fringe of the 1st team, well before the ages of this current batch, even though we have made the finals 2 years running, which can be taken as us being well organised since the arrival of Rafa, or the others are just the same as us in scratching round for talent to come through.

I think we need an FA Overhaul of the systems, and that feeder clubs are not that far off, after all, England will suffer in the long run if it isn't addressed.

Thought both sides were pretty average. Not many players on that pitch will play in the premiership at a decent level so not worth the big essay really. Liverpool started the better, had very little cutting edge and United eventually over ran them.

Think the return leg will follow a similar pattern. 1-1

Have you seen Hobbs in the reserves. He's a giant.

He made our reserves from a different academy though, he's one we acquired for the future, and long may it continue.

Admit it though, he's a monster in our reserves. In midfield or at the back. He's awesome.

Agreed, and he's 19 this year, soon be ready to deputise for Carra & Agger, and be able to play in those less glamorous games.

Jack Hobbs & Billy Sharp, now there's two old fashioned footballing names, just like it should be!

I thought Putterill looked promising, certainly worthy of a sub appearance before the end of the season. Lindfield had his moments in the first half but, like most of the team, faded in the second.
