not a very good pic I know....Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Those things can be reproduced at will. The original will most probably be covered in ink from the printing press and discarded a few days after the printing of the newspaper.Originally posted by bazza76 View Postif it was the original i could be interested. The one in the photo will simply be the original page from that days mirror burnt onto a brand new plate.

If that is the case, it's worth nowhere near the money being talked about.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostThose things can be reproduced at will. The original will most probably be covered in ink from the printing press and discarded a few days after the printing of the newspaper.

It sure aint. The cost of the plate is somthing like £1 or £2 pounds. Obviously the value is in the rarity of the iteam. Given that the only people who would be able to reproduce would have to work for at a Mirror printing plant.Originally posted by bazza76 View PostIf that is the case, it's worth nowhere near the money being talked about.
