Lucky scum and champs league final

So this season we played them at Anfield and lost unluckily 1-0. Then the youth team played them at Anfield and lost unluckily 2-1. Then the reserves played them at home last night and lost unluckily 1-0. So what's going to happen if we play them in Athens? Given our current run of luck the answer would seem to be we will lose unluckily no matter how well we play. This seems preordained and would reflect a long run of games against them when no matter how well we play we get beaten unluckily. This stretches back to the eighties when they beat us 2-1 at Wembley with a fluky deflected goal, then Cantonas winner in a leter FA cup final. Last season we outplayed them at old trafford and got done by a last minute winner -and so it goes on. The Scum have the indian sign on us and have had for a large number of years. However unpalatable it may be we have to accept that in sunny Athens we may wipe the floor with them and lose again.I have to say that since they beat Roma and looked headed for the final I have lost all pleasure at the thought of reaching Athens. There will be mayhem in the airports and the city with both us and them there. There will be mayhem in the stadium as we all know from Istanbul that segregation will break down with the number of neutral tickets on sale. There will be mayhem after the game and on top of all this the jammy *******s will likely win and consign us to the most painful defeat in the clubs history bar none. Football is meant to be fun. This isn't likely to be any fun at all.

We would lose. That's obvious based on your 'lucky' assumption.

Well, if we get to the final and lose we've still done very very well (beating Chelsea and Barcelona on the way!) and you just have to take the banter on the chin.

If we don't get to the final I still think we've done very well to make the semis.

We'll be gutted, but next season and the future promises many things.

Show some optimism - getting to the final would be fantastic and then its anyones!!

After Istanbul are you seriously doubting us in a champions league final!!

It would be unbelievable a Liverpool - Utd final and I would be more than confident of beating them in europe!!

I would ****ing love it actually that ****face Neville would have **** all to kiss then apart from Carras arse!!!

        C'mon Redmen!!

I would say that we are due a win against them.

I would also say that the Roma win has made them favourites, which suits us just fine.
            Oh I don't know.

Indeed, the longer we go without a win against them, the closer we come to the win - statistically.

im not sure i understand that one
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

In 2005 we had a fairly **** record against Chelsea but dumped them in the semi's. We were deffo underdogs in that semi. I would say this time round Chelsea will be more cautious about how they approach the game and playing them worries me more than the mancs, tbh. If we get to the final, I have confidence we will beat whoever is in front of us.
