    Cl winners medals

I saw this article and was wondering if we (or whoever else) got to the final would injured/suspended/unused subs receive a medal? Did Pongo/Mellor receive medals?

No it was Pellegrino. He saw that Milan didn't want them and grabbed a box full and started giving them out!

Probably the most useful thing he did for us...

Is that true? I've never heard or seen that.

Yeah it's true, it got a good bit of coverage at the time. Fair play to him for doing it, the old pro was making sure the younger squad members had something from the day.

of course helping carra and Sami with zonal marking was no use.

Well said. He came on a free, was not up to the speed of the prem but worked wonders on the training ground with rafa and the defence. He was a good aquisition that served his purpose.

Rafa wanted him to stay on as a coach full time, but he wanted to continue playing, not sure where he is now though.

Think he went to Alaves and is now retired.
