Played really well for Germany tonight, scored a great goal too.

Is he an alternative to Kuyt?

He would be a very good alternative IMO

However I don't see any credible reason to think he is an alternative target, a distinction to which you've already intimated.

I think the Kuyt deal will happen, but then again I said that about Alves. It's quite comfortable sat here on the fence

He's a good player but I think it's a case of too little too late. Rafa been after Kuyt for 2 summers now and it looks like he'll be a RED before the Sheff Utd match.
Forgot to add they are 2 completly different players.

from what I have seen of both players, Klose looks alot more composed infront of goal. Then again I have seen more of Klose. And Rafa is after Kuyts allround ability and workrate.
You know who is a good player and should be world class, that huntelar chap, looks top notch.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
