Simao and Quaresma

We seem to be constantly linked with Simao. I know he is a good player and would complement our right side, but why would we be looking at him at his age and hefty price, if we could potentially get Quaresma for a similar fee?

Watching Quaresma play the limited amount of times I have and hearing what his peers have to say about his ability, it seems nuts that we wouldn't be in for him.

He's Ronaldos age and he is just as good. He's got bags of skill. He'd be a fantastic addition to our squad. He is ripe for the plucking from Portugal now.

Without question we need one, if not two, top quality attacking midfielders/wingers.

Garcia, Pennant, Kewell, Gonzalez and co all have their moments. But in order to win the title, we need much better...

Ribery and Quaresma are the two I would be strongly looking at, both are probably valued around the 15m mark.

As for the bit about Simaos age...hes only 27 isn't he? Hardly old.

Every time I've watched Simao he's looked slow and not that particularly skillful. He can take a free kick.....that's it.

Quaresma just blows Simao out of the water to be honest.

He would be a perfect addition. And I think, can play on either wing.

I like Simao - he seems to perform well in the CL and at international level and has done so for a few years. He has consistantly good set pieces and offers a goal threat.

Not seen enough of Quaresma to comment. I saw that Henry was saying when he saw him a few years ago he thought he had more talent than Ronaldo but hadn't developed.

I suspect we will see 3 reasonably large signings this summer, of which two will be Rafas undoubted first choices and the third a compromise. If we get two top class wingers then the two mentioned seem like good calls - if we spend a lot of money on a striker I would expect one top winger and maybe someone like Benayoun to come in.

Quaresma looks very good player full of tricks and pulls them off similiar to C Ronaldo.

I hope he firstly buys to WORLD CLASS wingers because these sort of players can open up defence and create at least 5 more chances in a game.

Now the hard part is finding these world class wingers and not for a crazy price. Id like for us to test Spurs with a good offer for Lennon and maybe give them Cisse or Kewell

i think when your over 28 something happens in contract terms, i think Chelski were panicing about Lampard and that he can leave the club and buy out the remainder of his contract.
