    1.9m tall 13 year old?

Liverpool trials for son of ex-Barcelona star Kodro
    tribalfooball.com - April 22, 2007

Liverpool have handed trials to Kenan Kodro, the son of former Bosnian striker Meho Kodro.

Kodro Snr played for Real Sociedad and Barcelona in Spain and son Kenan, who at 13 is already 1.9m tall, recently had a trial spell at Liverpool under the eye of manager Rafa Benitez.

Benitez is still to make a decision over Kodro, who was part of the Antiguoko team that reached the final of the Champions League youth tournament.

Along with Kodro, fellow Antiguoko youngsters Andoni Amonarraiz and Imanol Villena had tests at Liverpool at the start of this month.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

There are a lot of words in that article I don't understand...
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

Antiguoko Kirol Elkartea is a Baskische football club divide from the Barrio Antiguo in San Sebastián. The club was set up in 1982 and is especially known the youth training.

Different players, that played have in the past by Antiguoko, came finally in the large European competitions and/or the Spanish national team correct. Most known player from the history of Antiguoko is Xabi Alonso. He was an important player in the team of Real Sociedad that in the season 2002/2003 second became in the Primera División and in 2005 won the middenvelder with Liverpool FC the UEFA Champions League. Also Mikel Arteta and Javier De Pedro were in as well the Spanish as English competition asset.

When he is 16 and 2.25m tall, I would like to see him and Crouch start, with 4 wingers on each flank.

maybe this one can actually attack a header, not defend it.

That height isn't exceptional. Both my sons (aged 13 and 15) play club and school football and you regularly see lads even in the Under 13s who are 6'0"+. My eldest lad is already 6 foot and one of his mates (who's had trials at Kirkby) is about 6'3" at just 15. The youngest lad has a few team-mates who are over 6'0" already.

It's quite comical at times watching Under 15 football because most of the players are taller than the adult coaches, referees and parents on the side. I've seen a few boys threaten to punch an abusive adult spectator!

Whilst I appreciate their height obviously doesn't automatically make them a better player many clubs deliberately scout taller boys, notably Everton and Man Citeh, as they believe they can work on their footballing skills whereas there's nothing they can do about their (lack of) height.
