    JAR vs Brasil

Just a few points on Riises match yesterday. his game really showed what he all about. He looked very good going forward, lots of good runs, a coupe of good (missed) chances. One of those a trademark screamer. In defense it anothr matter. The had lots of problems closing down his opponent, lost the ball after failing to clear, and didn hold the offside line properly. Even though he didnt recive much help freom Gmst-Pedersen defensely he didnt have a good game defending.
So all in all poor in defensive but impressive going forward, as we all know. But he looked positve and ready for the new season.

The two norwegian players that stood out was Charlton goalie Myhre (Carson has to play really well to take his place),and the Scum Solskjær. He only played the first half but did enough to show he back to his best. Which is bad news since the Scum wont miss Rooney and Scholes as much.

I think Riise will play lot at the start, to ease Aurelio into the PL. And if Rafa goes for three at the back Riise is very good as wing-back.

Since Rafa took charge JAR has improved his defensive work considerably. Possibly this is a consequence of being well drilled by Rafa to know what to do in our system. He is not a good instinctive defender and those that rate him as a better right back than Ashley Cole are plain wrong, but he will be very hard to displace in our team as he works well as part of our defensive unit.

Aurelio played for the first time as left back last night. Bear in mind he has been mega injury prone lets just hope he sees the season out!
