I'm trying to remain positive ahead of the first leg, but the nerves are already settling in and I just wish the game was now upon us so that I can relax a bit.

An away goal is crucial on Wednesday, 'cos if we fail to score then the home leg will become even more difficult. My nerves will be in shreds knowing that one goal from them at Anfield will count as double!

We're going to do it again.

So am I and when it comes to LFC I'm usually a pessimistic f*cker.

Obviously that could just be him playing games, but we'll see.
They'll both play. Maureen is a lying son a of a b!tch and nothing out of his mouth should be trusted.

That 4-1 result was not a true reflection of the match AT ALL.

Does not matter of the score is a true reflection of the match, what matters is the final score. I don't care what the score is as long as we beat the Chavs over 2 legs.

I pray we get the away goal. We can win, but score draw or even a 2-1 defeat would leave me confident going into the second leg.

Valencia took the first leg home 1-1. At the Mestella, they went in for half-time 1-0 up............................

I really have this huge, negative feeling about these ties.

If valencia happened to us, I would be heart-broken. Absolutely heart-broken.

Sickening feeling as the Chavs will be well up for it over 2 legs. We really need an away goal or two. Looking at the piss poor display by the Chavs vs Barcodes, I am getting the feeling that they really want to win big ears ahead of retaining their premiership title

And you don't think we'll be up for it? Our last 3 league games suggest that we are only playing in second gear in preparation for the big one against the Chavs.

                    We're going to do them.

Does it matter it wasn't a true reflection of that match? We can dominate them and lose 4-1 next week, end of the day, they will be in Athens, not us.

I know we'll do them, but doesn't mean I can't brick it till then and have massive anxiety attacks

I take heart that Rafa is a better tactician.

Of course it matters when we are trying to estimate the relative strenght between two teams.

I don't care what the score is as long as we go through though. That is agreed.

I hear you mate. Along with my monstrous hang over (which seems permanent these days), reading this thread has made me feel a little anxious.

I had faith in the 2005 version. I knew we were going to do them and head to Istanbul then.

I just had very very different feelings this time.... negative ones.

I am having a huge bout of pre-depression. I feel sick.
