How can you describe having a football brain? It's more on instincts and confidence. How many of us thought that Ronaldo would become the player he is today when he came along. He was a one trick pony who never knew when to pass the ball and the right time to try a trick.Same with Drogba.Look at Forlan,at man u he was ****e,he goes to spain and wins the golden boot.Morientes also,he didn't make it here yet in spain the guy is awesome.

My point is,when a player is played to his strengths,Cisse's is his pace and his finishing,he can only then prove himself. If he wasn't really given the chance to,through injury or lack of form, than imo,he can't be truly judged and considered a failure.
    very good post mate
I gave up on supporting Cisse long time ago cos some people are so opinionated its just not worth my time. If he was played CF more than often then he would have done better.
Granted he aint the most gifted footballer but he knew where the goal was.

GH wanted him, but Parry negotiated the fee and the contract.

If GH had stayed he would have played to Cisse's strengths. Rafa wanted a different style, Cisse couldn't/wouldn't fit into it. Two leg breaks didn't help either.

He's not the greatest player in the world, but there are other players far more worthy of the criticsm he is getting in here.

        No there arn't.

Under GH he would have still missed chance after chance after chance and would have been just as lazy.

And at least keep it to footballing matters, can't blame the player for fees & wages.

Again I never blamed the player. Again Parry negotiated under instruction not of his own accord.

I never suggested you blamed the player, as for Parry and contracts, he has the final word on fees & wages, no matter if he's under "instruction" or not.

The manager only suggests, the CEO does the negotiating.

Yes but offer the CEO gives is based upon the instruction of the manager and he advises whether the offer for the player is worthwhile or not.

We are nearly there, and finally, the CEO agrees or vetoes, he is the man that says yes or no, not the manager, not the player, the CEO, in this case Parry.

Yes but again, how is he to know the quality of the player, if the manager says he is worth it, he is not likely to disagree.

This sounds like the tail is wagging the dog.

Under GH Cisse would have scored bundles of goals - hopefully GH will take him to Lyon and prove it. I remember from KT that you never had a good word to say about Cisse, seems time hasn't eased your pain over the £14m we lashed on him.

If there is one player who we would like to take advantage of these new rules and buy himself out of contract it would be our Djib.....He might even do it according to those quotes as well. Well in that lad.
                              You walk down road.

Right side, ok. Left side ok. Through middle. Squish, just like grape.

                              Same with Karate.

Either you karate do yes, or karate do no. Karate do think so, squish. just like grape.

I don't have a dislike of him, but I feel he has not been the best that we could have done with, certainly since 2001 and that treble.

We have really been poor in marketing, sponsorship and branding this millennium.
