I honestly think Kewell will go in Jan, providing Speedy and Aurelio settle in well. JAR, Warnock and Aurelio can cover LB - JAR, Aurelio, Speedy and add Zenden can cover left mid - IMHO kewell is surplus to requirements and will struggle the most to get a game, esp as he seems to struggle for fitness.

My brain is hurting seeing how rafa accomodates sissoko/gerrard/alonso and 2 strikers?

      Whats your take on it?

If he finds that form again, it may prove difficult to let him go or leave him out, coz a fit and on-form Kewell is joy to watch and is a class act.

I know it is a big if, but it could happen.
I actually think Gonzalez isnt going to adapt as quick as everyone hopes either. I reckon we will see the best of gonzo after christmas

          Don't think so.

Momo started off his LFC carreer promisingly, and has got better and better, and is now recognised for the class player he is.
He is also incredibly mobile, and is a giant. I can see him taking over the Didi role to an extent, with a huge benefit....he has pace and when breaking up play can launch an attack instantly.

I think he'll let Alonso to focus on playing his usual game and thereby bringing our new assets of pace, and movement into the game alot quicker

He tore Chelsea to shreds in the semi-final at Old Trafford. That Kewell is good enough for any side in Europe.

We have pace on the flanks which we were lacking last season.

In defence we have cover for the Hyppia & Carra partnership which was a major worry and Aurelio on a free looks incredible business.

So if we aren't ready to mount a serious title challenge now, when will we be?

The luxury we have is a squad that is good enough to give him time to adapt to the premiership. The problem these players often face is they are drafted into a new team in a new league and expected to become a key player immediately.

I reckon if tough games like away from home or utd, chelsea, arse or europe we will start with sissoko, Xabi in the Centre and Stevie on the right - if it's a tight game we can throw Pennant on to add something to the attack.

At home against the lesser teams is a tough one - maybe see xabi missing out if sissoko continues his form - gerrard in centre with momo and pennant on the right. It's going to be really hard but it's the first time in ages we have have real quality fighting for places all over the park.

It's a better problem to have than being short in certain areas and having to fit square pegs in round holes.

Actually thats a great point. I remember Ronaldo and tony le T arriviing at the sametime. Ronaldo used to come on when scum where 2/3 goals up and could get used to the game without pressure on him . Sure Tony le T would get put on and GH would say save us!!!
