Eto'o angrily blasts Barcelona exit rumours
    tribalfooball.com - April 25, 2007

Samuel Eto'o has blasted reports that he is set to be sold by Barcelona at the end of this season.

The Cameroon ace, angry by reports in yesterday's press, snapped: "Today I will tell all my Barca fans that the day I cannot give them my best will be the day I leave.

"If I wanted to leave, I would tell the club. People have been trying to throw me out every week. It's getting boring.

"If someone is upset because I score goals and help my teammates at Barca, then they should try and replace Frank Rijkaard or Joan Laporta - only then will they get rid of me."

The reports yesterday also maintained an uneasy relationship between Eto'o and Ronaldinho, but he responded: "They're trying to throw s***.

"The people who say these things are stupid - and I'd say that to their face!"
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So he is going to leave at the end of the season when Rijkaard goes? Quality bit of non info from tribal.

      Eto'o isnt coming to us.

His interview in FourFourTwo Magazine (May issue) basically confirms this.

Hes hardly likely to come out in an interview and say "I'm going to Liverpool" when no fee has even been agreed is he

Well I was watching Revista last night and Guillem Balague said Eto'o has been sounding out possible moves to Liverpool, Manchester united and Arsenal.

The way Guillem emphasised Liverpool made me think we are right up there in the hunt to sign him.

Disclaimer: This of course assumes that Guillem knows what he's talking about.

I know your not claiming as yet to have inside info.
But are you hinting that you may have?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

That would be enough to start rumors alright, Id trust the lads on that program, they seem to be pretty clued up to what is going on in Spain most of the time.

He categorically and emphatically denied ANY possibility of it. Almost to the point of having a go at the interviewer for even daring to suggest it.
