But this is away, so I understand Rafa being cautious.
But I don't get why Crouch is not in there.
Pennant did provide a fabulous cross for Kuyt at the week end from the left.

It will be another borin' 0-0 draw or 1-1 at a push.

Certainly not mate but I'm less confident. Zenden's main weaknesses are lack of pace and poor passing. If he played him at home for the return leg with one or two goals to spare I'd be accepting it. Not now, as we need to make a difference here.

Let's wait and see. COME ON REDMEN.

Zenden's better at ball retention than gonzo, we'll be looking to keep the ball as much as possible tonight. Wear them down.

I think Mourinho might have been expecting Crouch, especially after our last meeting, so maybe that has something to do with it.

                Yes, true.
But he is not suited to play there still.

Yes, I agree. He keeps the ball better, and is better defensively.
Not that he is tops though...

I think Rafa has played a blinder here lads- matching chelsea like for like and playing on the fact that Jose will **** up his tactics again

                    Pepe
                    Arbeloa Carra Agger JAR
                    Xabi Masher Zenden
                    Gerrard
                    Kuyt Bellers

                    Drogba Sheva
                    J Cole
                    Fwank Makalele Obi
                    Cole Carvalho Terry Ferreira
                    Cech

Hes picked Zenden because he's an older more experienced player, just what you need for this type of game game. Plus he's not that bad a player, his time at Liverpool has been jinxed by injuries, when has he ever had a chance to establish some form.

A perfect time to start him then, Champions League semi-final and all... let him find his form against Pompey! I am withholding judgement, but his presence makes me nervous. As long as he plays a strong defensive game, I will be happy. If he starts trying to be Luis with the flicks and bad touches, I will be unhappy. His game to prove himself.

I've just found myself agreeing with Richard Keys, Scary

"Can't wait, lets get it on"

Squeaky bum time well and truly underway
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Anyone concerned about the lack of height in our team or am I nit picking?
