Not ****e but he's not LFC standard. He's not good enough to push us onto the next lever. IE: Win the title. Crouch is(I've been saying this for I don't know how long)on the other hand, a most effective weapon and the right partner for him ala Torres or Eto would be a dream ticket.

I cringe when I see people bigging him up because of his work rate. FFS, we could just sign a marathon runner. A lot of people put the blinkers on because he "tries so had" but alas, this just isn't good enough for us. He would be useful as a fourth choice striker, behind a crouch Eto and Owen or players of that ability and I think he may well just be that next season with Bellers on his bike and 2top class strikers coming in. Honourable mentions to Villa and Torres.

Put it this way. He is 'supposedly' our no. 1 striker isn't he? So, would anyone say he is even in the top 7 or 8 strikers in the premiership. No ****ing way. Therefore, we need better as our first choice.

He's equal 5th on the goalscorers chart though, so I would say yes .

We need a striker that is a cert to start every game, none of our current mob are at that level, but all can offer a job to do if the right striker is acquired, so let's not jump too hard & far down their throats just yet.
