    Anfield Gates

    Hi all,
Need to know what the blue badge is on the left gate at the front of the ground. The badge on the right gate belongs to of course, our glorious football club

    Anyone any ideas !!!
    Cheers,

    Great username.

    Odd topic.

I dont know what you're asking, much less what the answer is.

    But welcome to the site.

    Hope this helps.

Welcome mate. Do you mean the Shankly Gates or the Paisley Gates?

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

            Do you mean these?

I'm guessing you want to know what the blue badge on the left is. In short, I don't know, but it will be something to do with Bob Paisley, maybe a family crest or something.

The gates themselves feature the crests of Bob's birthplace, Hetton-le-Hole, and the liver bird of his 'adopted' city of Liverpool. The Hetton-le-Hole crest is made up of an eye-catching early steam engine, an acknowledgement of the area's pioneering role in the rail revolution.
