I actually believe we are going to play them off the park, but only win 2:1.
With our fans behind them, thats worth a goal, so chill, that makes it 3:1

Throw in a campione war chant and Stevie'll get two, so we're at 4:1 already.

      Believe.

I can feel a 1-0 scoreline for us coming on.
finnan will be back, fingers crossed, and the normally dangerous against them Risse moving to midfield and Arbeloa covering for Risse at left full. defensively much better.
our usual screen infront of the back 4, and let the rest go hell for leather.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Conventional sporting wisdom suggests we're stuffed. If we can get a 1-0 over 90 minutes we'll have a chance as I'm sure the long season will begin to catch up with them if it goes to extra-time.

Stopping them scoring will be tough though. Like I said in a previous post, I wouldn't put our chances at progressing any higher than 40%.

It feels like Benfica last year

We`ll have chances but Chelski will probably score. I think alot of positive comments by the players and fans actually sound hollow

I really hope we win (as I`ll be going to Athens) but we wont (reverse psychology)
                We need better attacking players!

                Torres aint enough

We were down and out against Olympiakos, down and out against Milan, St Etienne we were goners, but we prevailed.

Believe in it - make the kop roar and we will get through. Part of the problem against benfica is that the players, and the fans went to Anfield thinking "we are the european champions, Benfica won't beat us" so we were not in the right mindset as fans or as players.

Chelsea will be different, these European nights when the unexpected and magical happen are exactly what Liverpool are about. If the Kop do us proud, then the players will respond and it will happen.

                  That is my view anyway
                  You walk down road.

Right side, ok. Left side ok. Through middle. Squish, just like grape.

                  Same with Karate.

Either you karate do yes, or karate do no. Karate do think so, squish. just like grape.

No reason why that shouldn't continue, meaning we just need one goal to be level. It's on a knife's edge, definitely, but we've got a ****ing mean defence, so no reason we can't do them 2-0, or at least take it to extra time.

I don't mind going into games at Anfield as the underdog. We have nothing to lose now. The lads will know that after this one it'll be feet up until May 23rd (or the end of the season - so feet up anyway). So there shouldn't be anyone coming off that pitch on Tuesday who can still barely walk. Every last drop of effort must be left on that pitch.

I'm not too confident either. Just don't have the same feeling as I had in 2005.

going in 1-0 down could be better than 0-0 we know we've got to attack the game now

Have faith guys, we will do it! Dig out the Road to Istanbul DVD and just soak up that atmosphere and belief from 2005. With the right attitude anything is possible, everyone going to the game has got to get that through to the players. Come on you Reds.....
