That's not fair. He has great movement and all the good moments in the second half came from him. He's not a finisher though.

What's not fair? The fact he's not (and has never been) up to LFC standard. Movement is only worthwhile if you can use it (i.e. stay onside). People used to crucify Cisse for that. Bellamy's not much (if any) better in that department.

He has a better first touch than Cisse for a start.

pennant on the left looked crap. his best asset is to find a yard and cross the ball, trying to cut inside all the time playing on the left will be a complete disaster imo. Elzahr looked lightweight. The only way he'll improve is to be either played regularly (unlikely) or sent out on loan, maybe to a local club like wigan, city or one of the promoted teams next year

Bellamy had 90 minutes and did **** all, Fowler is past it, Zenden & Gonzalez were never good enough. Neither of the south american defenders looked any good either, maybe they will improve, i doubt it.

One last observation. What on earth was momo doing on the right wing. I'd put money on him never to be able to beat his man or cross the ball into the box. The only reason he seems to get so much of the ball is that the opposition know that he's totally useless with it! I hope to god he doesn't play on tuesday.

Glad today is over. Ler's hope we get it right tuesday night.

I said that was a rather unfair appraisal of some players, Gonzalez has started about 14 games all season been in and out through injury, Paletta has played about 4 and Insua 1 and both had Dudek behind them.

Insua showed some good promise for a 18 year old making his debut. He will be a very good player for us.
Paletta is still raw and has a lot to learn. He is very very slow though.
Dudek made a couple of good saves to make up for the mistake which let in the 1st goal.
Overall, terrible first half but much better 2nd half.
