    Morten Gamst Pedersen: Liverpool red is nice

    Liverpool red is nice says Blackburn winger

    Morten Gamst Pedersen was yesterday interviewed by Norwegian TV2 and he said that he was flattered about the current speculations about a move to Liverpool.

    Gamst Pedersen said: " I have played most of my career in red and even the Blackburn away kit is red, so that colour suits me. "

    He also said that he had heard nothing but for a footballer to be linked with big clubs is always fun. Pedersen has since his move to Blackburn been a key player and can be looked up on as one of the best signings done by Greame Souness as a manager.

    Sir Alex Ferguson and Tottenham's Martin Jol has both made no secrets about their respect and admiration for the Norwegian international. But Mark Hughes will probably do what he can to keep his goalscoring winger at Ewood Park.

    What a cracking reason to want to play for a club - because the kit is red.

    Sounds like a comment a 3yr old would make, wonder if he fancies playing for Charlton as well.

    On a serious note, i'd be happy with Pedersen, but i've said that plenty of times now

        Ive watched him a few times, some times he really impressed me, and other times i am left wondering....

        I'm still not sure about him

                  i think he's a great player...underated because he's not in the lmelight at Blackburn. But he has a wicked cross on him...he would improve our left side massively IMO.

                  He's not a fast, direct, take players on type of winger, but he is always a threat cause if you leave him in space he will deliver a quality cross everyime.

                  direct swap for Bellers would be a great deal

                    I just don't think he's good enough mate. I say it all the time - he's a proper Match of the Day player IMO. Grossly inconsistent but often looks good on highlights reels. I know a Blackburn fan who says the same - reckons he's very frustrating.

                    Even if he was good enough I don't think he's the type we're looking for. We need more pace, more of a proper line-hugging winger.

                      we need both types really.

                      A fast line hugging winger and someone who delivers quality set pieces.

                      I'd be happy if we signed 2 wingers...and one of them was MGP. The other would have to be Quaresma or Lennon though

                          To be fair, he did not mention Liverpool and Reds in the same sentence. Taken out of context.

                          I remember reading somewhere about him being a Scum fan and would love to play for them someday.
