I think he will do well in the Prem, He is one of those people in life who does well at everything he does because he is so determined. Hated the ******* as a player but respect him as a manager, he will end up at a big club will depend on timing whether its the mancs, never be us though.

I think the key point is that Steve Bruce's 'stock' as a manager has dropped over the last few seasons. And it has. A few dour seasons in the Premiership, culminating in a dismal relegation with some abysmal purchases on the way, soon put paid to his inflated reputation.

Keane has a long way to go yet before he proves himself a top manager, but he couldn't have started any better.

Next season and the season after that will be his acid test.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

They started this season there cos he took them there in the first place, there are no contradictions in that.

Why are we speculating about having a new Liverpool Manager? And what the **** have Keane and Bruce got to do with it anyway?

What next, Rafa joins Madrid and Big Sam Allardyce replaces him with little Sammy Lee returning as his assistant...

Just to point out a precedent of Sorts, Matt Busby Captained Liverpool before Managing the Mancs.

Hope to **** it never happens though, but respect to roy keane as he's done a fantastic job.

At the time Matt Busby captained Liverpool and becoming United manager, the rivalry between the two clubs was nowhere as fierce as today.

Personally I don't give a **** who he played for.

If he was the best man for the job and made us sucessful then I for one wouldn't be complaining.:whatever:

I have a lot of respect for Roy Keane.
He was a very good player, who due to his will to win and determination also was a very good captain and won loads. I saw that someone earlier in the thread said he is one of those who do well at all he does because he has such determination and will to win, well, Souness had that by the truckload, he was not good manager.

I also think Keane likes LFC, even though he played ages for the scum.
Neville, well that is a scum player I detest. Keane, sure I thought he was a ****, but not in the same league as ugly nev.

A couple of things that I don't like about him of course. The tackle on Håland with intent to injure was horrible.

Also, I think he was very unprofessional when he walked out of the Irish national team and tore into McCarthy and created a huge row. Not professional, even though he has such high standards and wants to win at all costs..

                          But, manager for LFC, nah.
                          We got Rafa for years.

He's always been hugely complimentary about us actually. So not entirely sure about that. Besides, the Mancs once appointed one of our former captains as manager and did rather well with him. Personally I've a lot of time for Keane.

Should the position become free, we should always choose the best available person for the job.

If that happened to be Royston Keane, then so be it.
