If that happened to be Royston Keane, then so be it.

If we're reduced to the position where Keane becomes the best available person, then we should all pack it in and go home.

What's puerile is saying that we should never, ever have him because of his Utd background.

The few who have disagreed make the same point as I did - that IF he were the best person for the job, we shouldn't overlook him because he used to pay for ManU. That's a long way from saying he is in any way qualified yet - in fact I'd love him to go to Utd as soon as possible, because I don't believe he could hack it as Fergies replacement. But 10 years from now, he might be Stein, Shankly and Paisley all rolled into one.

He'll get found out in the Premiership next season. Several season ago Bruce was being hailed as the next Scum manager. Look where he is now.

lets see how he does in the EPL. He's done very well this season, but lets assess where he is in say 5-6yrs time.
